Allison Rosati is a reporter for NBC 5 in Dallas. She joined the station in 2011. Rosati graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2009. Alison Rosati is a well-known and award-winning American journalist who has worked for NBC 5 News, WMAQ TV, as a presenter and reporter since August 1990. She co-hosts the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts. Before joining NBC 5, Rosati worked as a reporter for KTTC-TV in Rochester, Minnesota, where she began her career in 1985. Fortunately, less than a year later she was promoted to producer and co-host of the 6pm and 10pm newscasts.

Rosati left the station to go to WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, N.Y., where she hosted the 6 and 11 p.m. news. She has also worked as a general reporter. She was also the local co-host of the 1989 Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon with Barry Lillis. In 1990, Allison joined the WMAQ team as host of First Morning. During her time as a morning presenter, she hosted Chicago Live with Warner Saunders from 1991 to 1992.

Allison also began as host of the daily newscast in 1995. This was followed in May 1997 by the controversial hiring of Jerry Springer as a commentator and the resignation of Ron Magers and Carol Marin. Rosati has been named co-anchor of 5 NBC News at 10 p.m. She became Chicago’s longest serving evening news anchor. In August 1998, Allison left the daytime show to focus on the short-lived NBC 5 show Chicago Daytime with Nesita Kwan and Byron Miranda. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled in 1999 due to low ratings. Fortunately, she was promoted to co-anchor of the 6 p.m. news after the departure of Joan Esposito.

Rosati also hosted the weekly program Wednesday’s Child from 1999 until its final edition in 2005. Allison also hosted, co-hosted and co-produced a half-hour special on Mom Tv in 2000. In 2006, she became a news anchor at Saunders at five, replacing Bob Sirott and Marion Brooks. After Sander’s retirement in 2009. Rob Stafford has been chosen to co-host the Rosati evening news. Unfortunately, Allison was scheduled for surgery in September 2020 due to a leg injury, but due to the Covid 19 pandemic in Illinois, she had to stay home due to her age and increased risk of serious illness.
