DJ Esco, an Atlanta-based producer, creates trapped-out, Dirty South tracks in the style of Zaytoven, Mike WiLL Made It, and Metro Boomin. He burst into the mainstream in 2016 with his radio smash “Too Much Sauce,” which he co-wrote with Future and Lil Uzi Vert, after years of mixtape releases. In 2018, he released his first full-length album, Kolorblind, which charted in the Top 20 in the United States.

Esco, whose real name is William Moore, rose to prominence as a DJ for rapper Future, whom he met in 2008. Esco has worked with Yo Gotti, Rae Sremmurd, Jim Jones, Young Scooter, Plies, Gucci Mane, and Waka Flocka Flame, as well as acting as Future’s A&R guy. No Sleep and Ball Like Me are two of his famous mixtapes, but 56 Nights, which he released alongside Future in 2015, is the most well-known. 56 Nights was conceived during Esco’s almost two-month stay in a Dubai prison in late 2014 and early 2015. It also includes production from 808 Mafia. Project E.T., a collaboration between Esco and Future, was released in 2016. (“Esco Terrestrial”). Project E.T. included the singles “100it Racks” (with Drake, 2 Chainz, and Future) and “Too Much Sauce” (featuring Lil Uzi Vert and Future), both of which charted on the Billboard Hot 200 in late 2016. Young Thug, Rich the Kid, Nas, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, O.T. Genasis, ScHoolboy Q, Ty Dolla $ign, and Future were among the guests that performed on each of the album’s 11 songs when it was released in spring 2018. He collaborated with rapper Doe Boy on the album 56 Birdz in 2020, which included the song “Pop It.”
