Lauren Magiera is a sports anchor and reporter for WGN-TV in Chicago, Illinois. She started as the station’s first female sports anchor and reporter in April of 2016.
Before joining the WGN News team, Magiera worked for the NFL Green Bay Packers, where she co-hosted a weekly 30-minute pre-game show with Packers Hall of Famer Larry McCarren. In addition to the pre-game show, she presented home games as a field reporter, wrote weekly feature articles, and created online content for Packers.com.
Lauren also worked as a sports reporter for a number of stations before joining the Green Bay Packers. She was the station’s sports director at ABC Alaska KIMO/FOX in 2008. She worked for ABC for nearly two years before moving to NBC Alaska KTUU as a sports reporter. In addition, Magiera returned to the Midwest in 2012, where she worked as a sports director, producer, and reporter for ABC Wausau WAOW-TV in Wisconsin. She eventually arrived in Green Bay.
