David Ignatius is an American journalist and author. He has been the Washington Post’s foreign affairs columnist since 2001.

Biography of David Ignatius

David Ignatius is an American writer and author who now works for The Washington Post as an associate editor and columnist. He’s also the author of eleven books. Body of Lies is one of his books. He’s also a former adjunct professor at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. This is on the grounds of Harvard University. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Future of Diplomacy Program at Georgetown University.

St Albans School was the alma mater of this brilliant journalist. He went on to Harvard College, where he received a magna cum laude degree. This was in the 1973 graduating class. Harvard University granted him a Frank Knox Fellowship. He got a diploma in economics from King’s College where he studied.

He worked as an editor at the Washington Monthly after finishing his studies before joining The Wall Street Journal. He worked as a reporter for 10 years there. He initially covered the steel business in Pittsburgh for the Jornal. He then went to Washington, where he covered the Department of Justice. He also reported on the CIA and the United States Senate. From 1980 to 1983, he also served as the Journal’s Middle East reporter. He covered the conflicts in Lebanon and Iraq throughout this period.

In 1984, he also returned to Washington, D.C. He returned to work as a top diplomatic reporter after his return. He was awarded the Edward Weintal Prize for diplomatic reporting in 1985. He did, however, leave the Journal for The Washington Post in 1986. From 1986 until 1990, he was the editor of the “Outlook” section. He was the foreign editor from 1990 until 1992. From 1993 until 1999, he worked as an assistant managing editor in charge of business news. In 1999, he started writing a twice-weekly column on global politics, economics, and international affairs.

He was named executive editor of the International Herald Tribute in 2000. In 2002, he returned to the Post. This was after the Herald Tribute was sold by the Post. During his time at the Herald Tribute, he continued to publish his weekly column. The Washington Post Writers Group also syndicates his column throughout the globe. In addition, the column received the Gerald Loeb Award in 2000.

His reporting on the CIA has been criticized for being protective and too optimistic. In addition, he backed the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. He did, however, criticize the CIA and the US government’s attitude to intelligence on many occasions. He published an opinion article for the Washington Post on the Ukraine issue and how the world would respond to Putin’s actions. On March 26, 2014, something occurred.
