Dr. Larry D. Reid, a Grammy-winning gospel artist and songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee is releasing his new album through the LMG Music Group on January 18th called Life Is A Song Worth Singing . The first single “I’m Ready To Go” released in October 2017 reflects Dr. Reid’s dedication to changing lives with music as he shares lyrics that encourage us to live our best life now
Dr. Larry D. Reid, a contemporary gospel singer and composer, radio personality, and author, had previously written two instructional books when he released the single “Better Than Ever” in 2013. His 2015 EP, The Set, hit the Top Ten on the Billboard gospel albums list, with his inspiring lyrics delivered in an energetic soul manner.
Dr. Reid made a splash in the gospel world in 2013 when, as pastor of the Breakthrough Church in North Carolina, he topped a number of Billboard side charts, including gospel sales and radio airplay, with a self-released first song. Reid continued to release his own songs, including his first full-length, Larry D. Reid, in early 2014. The upbeat “Better Than Ever” led to employment as a composer for other artists while Reid continued to release his own tracks, including his first full-length, Larry D. Reid, in early 2014. In mid-2014, he extended the record and released it under the title Work Me Over, credited to Dr. Larry D. Reid & the Breakthrough Singers. Following the release of his third book, Let the Church Say Change, in early 2015, he and the Singers charted in the gospel Top Ten with The Set EP in March of that year, which included the smash song “Can’t Take God from Me.”
He released One Musick, Vol. 1 in August of 2015, while still self-releasing his music and books. It included songs from prior albums, as well as new songs and inspiring spoken-word recordings. Reid left his position as a preacher in 2017 and released One Musick, Vol. 2 via LDR Enterprises in 2019.
