Don Trip is an American rapper, songwriter and record producer. He rose to prominence in 2011 after releasing his debut single “I Love My Bitches”. After playing at local venues throughout the US, he released several mixtapes before signing with Atlantic Records in 2013. His major label debut album was released on June 1st 2014 entitled ‘Trip’.

Don Trip (Christopher Wallace), a Memphis native who stood alongside Macklemore, Danny Brown, and Future for XXL Magazine’s 2012 Freshman Class, was first a rap fan, following hip-hop from teen pop sensation Kriss Kross to the breakthrough of the much rougher Three 6 Mafia and the hometown-based film Hustle & Flow. He preferred 2Pac over Notorious B.I.G., the legendary rapper with whom he shares a surname. Trip’s production became prodigious only after the turn of the next decade, despite the fact that he has been active since the mid-2000s. In 2011, he released two solo mixtapes (one based on the Human Torch, the other on the Terminator), collaborated with Nashville native Starlito on Step Brothers, and charted on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart with “Letter to My Son,” released on Cool & Dre’s Interscope-affiliated First Family imprint. Trip returned to solo work with Godspeed, The Head That Wears the Crown, and 2 Clip Trip, all of which were published independently in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, he and Starlito reunited for Step Brothers Three. Trip released the full-length Christopher the next year, which included Jus Bentley, Starlito, 8Ball, Singa B, and Bink4sho.
