Ryan Field is an American sportscaster who currently works as a sportscaster for the Eyewitness News evening and Saturday morning newscasts on WABC-TV. Field joins Channel 7 after three years as a presenter at Fox Sports 1 in Los Angeles.
Ryan is originally from Troy, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. He then began his television career in 1996 as a sports intern at WILX-TV, the NBC channel in Lansing.
Philed also has experience in broadcasting. He worked as a reporter and host of sports talk shows at WDBM Radio (88.9 FM) in East Lansing, where he was named the best college sports radio program by the Michigan Broadcasters Association in 1999.
Ryan got his first television job in his home state of Michigan as a reporter/producer for FOX affiliate WJBK-TV in Detroit and then as a sports director for FOX affiliate WSYM-TV in Lansing.
