Tips to Spot Celebrities in Vegas

When it comes to building out an unforgettable Vegas adventure, there is plenty to consider. First and foremost, vacationers need to prioritize their goals for the trip, as the City of Lights can be pricey. Not everything will be possible, and a little forethought will go a long way in helping build out a feasible itinerary.

Fear not—guides abound on how to save money in Vegas. Most articles suggest finding lodging off the strip and waiving resort fees, along with travel tips such as timing flights wisely to avoid busy seasons. Some might even use a ‘hidden city’ trick.

Regardless of how travelers plan to budget for their trip to the City of Lights, there’s typically one un-plannable note on their wish list: seeing a celebrity. As an entertainment mecca, celebs aren’t just hanging around during their residencies—they’re flying in to have fun in paradise, just like tourists.

So, how can travelers enhance their chances of seeing a celebrity (aside from buying tickets to their show)? After all, locations like Vegas and LA tend to be easier locations to get up-close and personal with celebrities, unlike cities like New York and London.

Dream of meeting your favorite star on the Strip? Keep reading for some of the hottest spots for celeb sightings… but beware, the clubs and restaurants come with pretty price tags.

TAO Nightclub, Venetian

With locations around the world, TAO nightclubs are often a who’s-who of clout. In Vegas, the club is one of the most opulent on the Strip. Aside from the location’s inspired Eastern decor, there’s one standout: the Opium Room.

The location’s red suede couches and unique ceiling carvings make it a favorite hangout for names like Jamie Foxx, Mariah Carey, and even Kim Kardashian. In fact, she celebrated her (first) bachelorette party here back in 2011.

Omnia, Caesar’s Palace

Just like TAO hit the map after hosting Kardashian’s 2011 bachelorette party, Omnia hit the scene after throwing Justin Bieber’s 21st birthday party. Omnia regularly welcomes similarly big names, which is in part thanks to its massive 75,000-square foot spread, which leaves plenty of space for rubbing elbows (and private escapes).

However, keep in mind that most celebs who head to Omni are ushered into the ‘Heart of Omnia’, a unique VIP room that’s sheltered from public view. Just be sure to keep a lookout for celebs like Naomi Campbell, Miley Cyrus, and Ed Sheeran before they escape into the VIP lounge.

Giada, The Cromwell

As the residence of Giada De Laurentiis, this top-notch restaurant regularly attracts major stars from around the world. With De Laurentiis spending years perfecting her skills on shows like Everyday Italian, the entire restaurant has an elevated and cultured feel.

Unsurprisingly, it’s a hot spot for top names from Shania Twain and Chelsea Handler to Nicolas Cage and Katie Couric. Be sure to plan ahead for a trip to Giada—though the decor is California-boho, the price tags are Parisian.

Nobu, Caesar’s Palace

Whether planning to celeb-hunt, a trip to the restaurant Nobu is highly recommended for those with a little extra room in their budget. The world-class establishment was co-founded by Robert De Niro, then named for master chef Nobu Matsuhisa.

Aside from a long list of regular celebrity guests, which includes Bradley Cooper, Jonah Hill, Victoria Beckham, Faith Hill, and more, Nobu includes unforgettable interior design. Along with top dishes, the restaurant includes black-ash sculptures and an onyx bar, along with dreamy accents inspired by origami.

Andrea’s, Wynn

Looking for a solid meal followed by bottle service? Look no further than Wynn’s Andrea, which is a classy fusion restaurant that also functions as a nightclub. Before 9pm, chef Joseph Elevados serves up Asian-inspired dishes to a custom-made Steve Agnello soundtrack (of Swedish House Mafia).

But afterward, the location morphs into a top-tier Vegas nightclub. Whether in it for the dishes or the dancing, a celeb sighting isn’t out of the picture. Andrea’s has welcomed countless celebrities for dinner and as a nightclub, including names like Elijah Wood, Kate Upton, and even Lady Gaga.
